Flamecraft Day 2! Meet Steven!

So needless to say, Steven was pretty happy today when we reached 400,000. He could hardly contain himself and he handed out reputation points to at least 3 different passersby.

   Seriously, though.. we want to say, from the bottom of our warm and scaly hearts, THANK YOU! This has been an a crazy day from the first 5 minutes to right now as the adrenaline is starting to wear off and sleep starts to creep in. Let us clarify that... it really has only been 1 day and a half and there's now over 5,600 of you wonderful backers! We even hesitate to write any numbers down, because we get new friends joining town every minute - it is truly a humbling experience.  But now, we have a LOT to talk about:

 STREAMING FLAMECRAFT - FRIDAY

We'll be streaming in several places, but Friday kicks it off on Facebook on the Shenanjegans stream at 3pm PDT. Join Flamecraft designer Manny Vega and Cardboard Alchemy as we play the game on Tabletopia! PLUS - we'll be adding a bread plushie to someone's Kickstarter pledge AND we'll be showing the yet unrevealed Pizza Parlor shop - part of the social goals (see below).

SOCIAL GOALS - HAVE JUST BEGUN!

We revealed 2 NEW social goals yesterday! You see, the dragons have gone off to work on keeping the Kickstarter running and stuff, and they left tasks to do! So far we have a POTION TASK - unlock with photos of your coffee cups labeled "FLAMECRAFT" - and a BREAD TASK - baking something "dragon" related! 

We have a lot of fun things planned in this category - both prizes which unlock in every game AND for mega prizes for a few lucky winners who participate. As we finish social goals we ALSO get new shops in town.... AND this scene below will populate with cute dragons! 

SHOPS UNLOCKED

Ok, it's time to talk shop - literally! We unlocked 7 new shops (and thusly six new abilities that will change the game!) in all editions of the game. This means the total shop count is at 23! - and counting. Here's what we have unlocked in 2 days (and you can see the entire town list near the bottom of the main page): 

Your town now includes a cafe, a dragon spa, a buffet, a bank, a dragon roost, a pottery and a post office - just unlocked at $350,000 - and the greenhouse is next! We want to show you the first few of the rough sketches that Sandara has for these. Keep in mind these are not final drawings and are just to show the illustration in progress. Enjoy!

INTERNATIONAL DRAGONS APPEAR

We have amazing news to share! As of today, Lucky Duck Games is saying that we will have German, Spanish, Korean and Chinese as confirmed languages for game localization. And more languages seem to be coming as well!

During this campaign, we will also announce the publishers that sign on to bring these games to life. In the meantime, any backer of this campaign will be able to select these new languages in the pledge manager for their copy of Flamecraft - AND still get all of the Kickstarter stretch goals and exclusives for being a backer!

Grand Opening in Flamecraft!

Hello Flamekeepers!

Thank you for opening town with such an amazing bang! We had a call with Sandara at the time of launch (10pm in Singapore) and Manny Vega with us in Los Angeles in the early am and all of us were blown away by the huge support! WOW everyone - it feels like this:

And then it kept going! and we're still going! At 3.5 hours in, we are almost at $150,000 (6x our goal) and we have over 2,100 residents in dragon town, which is the true treasure - having you here with us. There are so many places in town we want to share with you, including a post office, a bank, a wishing well and more. We'll have to skip right past the dragon spa, because as much as we may want to put our dragon feet up, there is so much more to do! 

As Manny, our resident rhyming flamekeeper and your designer of this game put it:

Truth be told, the website crashing and all the requests at once was a lot to take in, so we're still adjusting and answering the mornings questions, and we have many interested retailers and partners! So much is going on simultaneously! We had to share our giddy joy at seeing this beautiful world come to life for all the tabletops (and in honor of all the plush hugs too!). We are bursting over here!

We will be back with much more to share, and some exciting unlocked items for all of today's progress! Stay tuned for a more in depth update to come, and to everyone asking questions in the comment section, never fear we are going to get to all of these and get you a robust Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section on this Kickstarter!

We're seeing a ton of people answering questions and helping their fellow flamekeepers in the comments and on discord and we love it.  We will return with a Chonkers-sized (that's the name of one of our Fancy dragons - we'll introduce you) follow-up!
